Blake Burton (b. 1984) is a photographer and architect based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Photography for him is an opportunity for self-expression by documenting stories and moments with the mindset of a curious observer.  Burton’s images have often been described as quiet, yet rich with spatial composition, emotion, and quality of light.  Burton’s photographic interests span many genres, from abstract landscapes to architectural typologies, travel, and long-form documentary projects.  These interests have earned him multiple awards along with the publication of his first book in 2018 centered on the six year transformation of Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia.  An avid traveler, Burton’s recent work has focused on the exploration of the rugged beauty of our natural world to capture images of remote locations and the people who call it home in order to seek a deeper understanding of humankind’s connection and impact on these lands.
